Tom Lister, otherwise known as Carl King in the television soap Emmerdale, is to play Fleshcreep in Malvern Theatres’ 2025 panto Jack and the Beanstalk.
Lister will return to Malvern after playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan in 2021. He has been nominated twice for best villain at the UK Pantomime Awards.
He said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be returning to Malvern for panto this Christmas. It’s such an amazing venue and I’ve always had such a great time performing here. This year I’m especially excited to take on the role of Fleshcreep—he’s such an iconic villain and I’m ready to have a lot of fun with him.”
Producer Martin Dodd of UK Productions added, “the whole creative team is buzzing with anticipation and we can guarantee that Jack and the Beanstalk will be bigger, bolder and more spectacular than ever before. We’ve poured everything into making this the ultimate festive experience and we can’t wait for audiences to see it.”
Mark James will play Silly Billy in Jack and the Beanstalk which will run in the Festival Theatre from Thursday 11 December until Sunday 4 January 2026.
