Benefit

Cardboard Citizen theatre company’s next touring production, Benefit, is showing at the Lantern Theatre in Liverpool April 16-17. It will also be taking the production into a variety of hostels, centres, shelters and prisons around the country.

It’s an interactive forum theatre piece—after the performance audience members are encouraged to get up on stage and offer their own approach to the lead character’s situation. All the performers have experience of homelessness.

Three interwoven stories unlock the frustrations and passions of characters struggling with their bank balances, their addictions, their histories and their own sense of self.
