Friday May 10 sees Liverpool’s Capstone Theatre host a unique performance from Cubana Bop, the leading edge band in Latin Jazz, perform songs from one of the greatest 20th century musicals, West Side Story, but with a unique and innovative Latin Jazz twist.
Featuring special guest singers Paul Roberts (The Stranglers) and Jo Riley (Swingle Singers) the Bernstein–Sondheim originals have been arranged by band leader and pianist Terry Seabrook to create an all new experience.
West Side Story favourites which have been given the Cubana Bop treatment include: "Maria", "Tonight", "I feel Pretty", "Somewhere", "America", "Officer Krupke" and "Something’s Coming".
