A hundred young people, aged 14–21, will spend a year in Manchester Royal Exchange’s Young Company.

Help and support for those seeking to develop a career in the creative and cultural industries will be available thanks to a grant from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.

Fiona Gasper, Exchange executive director said: “Our Young Company was established in 2012 to help young people to foster a long-term relationship with theatre and the performing arts, many of whom wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to explore interests in the arts.

"The funding will help us to deliver a year-long programme of workshops and other learning sessions, not only for those with aspirations to be an actor, a writer or a producer, but also anyone who needs an opportunity to develop skills for life.”
