The Lowry in Salford has confirmed details of its planned re-opening line-up.

In accordance with the ‘Roadmap out of Lockdown’, the Salford arts centre expects to restart face-to-face performances from May 17, pending the final green light.

The first show will be outdoor performances of C-O-N-T-A-C-T at Salford Quays and in Manchester city centre from May 18 to 27 June 27.

From May 22, the galleries will reopen at weekends.

The first indoor, socially distanced performance is on May 30 when comedian Michael Spicer brings The Room Next Door to the Lyric Theatre. Northern Ballet then presents Dangerous Liaisons from June 1–5.

The Lowry has also announced Les Misérables is set to run from March 29 to April 23 next year (2022).

At Christmas, the venue has three shows: Stick Man (November 30 to January 9), The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (December 8 to January 15) and SIX (December 14 to January 9.)
