The Enough Project brings together two regional voices at The Lowry from June 20-22 to respond to one simple question; what is enough?

In a world battered by financial crisis and with natural resources at breaking point, what does it mean to have enough in 2013?

Two north west writing talents have been supported by The Lowry’s Accelerate programme to bring their work to The Studio. The programme, in association with Jerwood Charitable Foundation, works to develop the knowledge and skills of the next generation of theatre makers.

It results here is a unique double-bill featuring Brimming, by Emma Adams and Something Right by Cathy Crabb, with a cast of Northern actors including Manchester-born Jo Mousley (who played Hilda and Deidre in the New Zealand tour of Coronation Street on Stage).

The two contrasting, complementary 45-minute plays, each with the same four-person cast are produced by Dep Arts, developed with The Lowry, Theatre in the Mill and The Carriageworks.

Cathy was a 2005 winner of an MEN Fringe Award for Best Production, and roots her work in the humour and politics of the working class. Emma, whose Forgotten Things toured nationally in 2009 and was shortlisted for the Meyer-Whitworth Award, offers a dark and surreal comedy here.
