Set on a garbage patch in the Atlantic, hundreds of miles from land, Knick Knack and Doo Dad makes a merry Christmas from unwanted rubbish at The Lowry in Salford from December 27 to January 5.

Patrick Lynch, known to millions of children as Thomas Ticker from CBeebies’ Let’s Celebrate, joins Italian children’s TV star Carlo Rossi on a waste-strewn island after being shipwrecked.

Robert Robson, artistic director at The Lowry, says: “Knick Knack and Doo Dad is a beautiful show, full of fun and hope. Lyngo Theatre, celebrating their 10th anniversary of creating and touring the highest quality family theatre, has devised a show that not only delivers Christmas messages of sharing, but also introduces children to recycling in a fun and memorable way.”
