Nosferatu

Just in time for Halloween, The Dukes stages Dracula… but not as you know it.

With a mixture of illusions and trickery, an original musical score and a libretto from acclaimed poet Ian McMillan, this new production of Nosferatu can be experienced at the Lancaster theatre on October 27.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula describes how the Demeter leaves Transylvania with a full crew and arrives empty in Whitby except for the dead captain, strapped to the wheel, and a mysterious cargo of wooden boxes.

Nosferatu unravels the dark and chilling tale of these sailors in the last hour before the sun rises.

It’s a story of life and death, science and superstition, recommended for anyone aged 12 plus, and staged by award-winning Proper Job Theatre.
