Headway at 3MT

The second Headway Project is underway at Manchester’s Three Minute Theatre. Tucked away at the end of Afflecks Arcade on Oldham Street, 3MT is rapidly becoming the venue of choice for new work in the region.

The fully-equipped, 70-seat theatre, cinema and music venue has had a busy first year with sell-out shows as well as hosting the annual 24:7 Theatre Festival.

Headway is collaboration between writers, actors, directors, a theatre and an audience.

The purpose is to take plays from writers in their unfinished form and, using the skills and input from actors, directors and the writers themselves, develop the plays to the point where they can be presented to an invited audience over three nights.

The next Headway performance takes place at the venue from December 20-22 with two new comedy plays: Breaking Point by local writer Michael Beswick which deals with the fragility of relationships and Not Dead Yet!, by Victor Alexander and Cassandra Bernard; a madcap comedy of age and youth.
