Dream Space

As Manchester International Festival prepares to take over the city from June 29 to July 16, Factory International releases a new podcast, Dream Space, featuring artists from this year’s festival and beyond.

Hosted by Gemma Cairney, listeners will encounter visions of the future dreamt up by some of the world’s leading creative minds.

Across ten episodes, the series asks artists to take listeners on a journey through an imaginary space where nothing is off limits to stage their dream art extravaganza.

Episode one, featuring Maxine Peake, takes listeners on a journey questioning what kind of art the world needs now.

Future episodes feature guests such as artist, writer and dramaturg Scottee, cabaret star and trans pioneer Justin Vivian Bond and writer Sabrina Mahfouz.
