Flare WeekenderThe Flare Weekender at Zion Arts Centre in Manchester starts on Friday June 8 and tickets go on sale at the start of May.

Joining artists already announced—Sleepwalk Collective, a smith and Katherina Radeva—Flare has a hand-picked selection of some of the freshest new theatre makers in this country and abroad.

Velocity Pumps is a stripped down piece of physical performance, the latest extra-ordinary theatre work to come out of the University of Giessen that is already attracting acclaim in Germany and Bulgaria.

String SectionLeen Dewilde is a Belgian artist who works mostly in dance, performance and installation. String Section is a piece for five dancers, five chairs and five handsaws, as surprising and unsettling as it is compulsive and elegant.

A beautifully composed reflection on city life played out by four performers, a fridge and 200 milk bottles, The See You Later Capital sees Bristol's Massive Owl complete the journey begun by their Flare Festival 2011 hit 4 Bar and Rising.

There is also new theatre from Manchester's own Jodean Sumner, Formally Silent from Lancaster, the latest Club Reckless piece for 12 performers directed by Mole Wetherell, and three three-minute performances for one person at a time by rising local stars Facade Theatre.
