Another Manchester-based playwright has won the prestigious Kings Cross Award at The Courtyard Theatre, London.
Ian Townsend recently joined the city’s Shred team and follows in the footsteps of Rob Johnson, winner of the award in 2011.
Ian’s winning script for The House In Sofia With A Map Of Its Surroundings will now be taken into development resulting in a staged reading later this year. The writer will also receive the award prize money of £5,000 to support career development.
