Mayhem and mirth in three Chekhov shorts

Crowd of Two Theatre Company has “adapted, reworked and rebranded” three comic shorts by Anton Chekhov which it will present at Buxton Fringe as Volga Olga’s Night of Russian Culture.

Nicola Haldane and Russell Kennedy will direct Tobacco—A Peril to us All, A Friend in Need (is a…) and The Debt of Honour.

“An evening of mayhem and mirth hosted by the lovely Olga and hindered by promoter Boris and his team of one” features a hen-pecked husband, a family man at the end of his tether and a faithful woman trying to honour her late husband’s memory.

Crowd of Two Theatre Company’s fourth production, Volga Olga’s Night of Russian Culture will be presented at the Hydro Bar and Restaurant, Buxton from Thursday until Saturday (11 to 13 July) at 8PM.
