On November 26 as part of their double bill series Lancaster Arts at Lancaster University hosts Beating McEnroe at the Nuffield Theatre.
It’s a solo show from award-winning theatre maker Jamie Wood about a pivotal moment. With the help of his audience, amongst vivid, surprising images, Wood performs a cathartic ritual: recreating and reliving the last point of one fateful match until he is finally able to move on in his life.
The tennis show has won numerous awards including the From Edinburgh with Love and the Best Show at Birmingham’s BE Festival. It was also shortlisted for a Total Theatre Award in 2013.
