An evocation of 1920s jazz and blues and the fictitious story of Honey Grey, lead singer in her daddy’s band, are told in the musical tale of Lady Of Jazz.

It’s at Hope Mill Theatre, November 11–13.

Starring Michaela Bennison in her first major leading role, she sings ragtime, Charleston and stride—inspired by Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters and Louis Armstrong—as well as standards "Careless Love", "Frankie & Johnnie", "Ain’t Nobody’s Business" and "Nobody Loves You When You’re Down And Out".

Suitable for all ages. Running time 1.5 hours with one interval.
