Mike “Squeaky” McClean is to return for his third consecutive Derby LIVE pantomime as Simple Simon in Jack and the Beanstalk.
The diminutive Mancunian has built up a following in Derby, appearing as Smee last year in The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan and as Idle Jack in Dick Whittington and His Cat in 2011.
Paul Holman for pantomime producers Paul Holman Associates said, “I’m delighted Mike is returning. He’s established a very strong fan base which crosses the generations.
“He has the ability to induce laughter just from a look or a cheeky wink and when he takes to the stage, you know something funny and something special is about to happen.”
Jack and the Beanstalk runs at Derby Assembly Rooms from 4 December until 5 January.
