Following a successful run at the Bike Shed, Exeter in May, the MolinoGroup is taking its production of Desert on tour across the UK.

Focusing on the story of Wikileaks whistleblower Bradley Manning, the production explores the nature of his actions and highlights how individuals such as Manning and Edward Snowden face a conflict between their employers and their own conscience.

Director Beth Pitts said: “Desert asks of its audience ‘what would you do?’ given that chance, those circumstances and the huge personal consequences; whatever your political inclination, it’s difficult not to perceive the story of Manning as a modern-day David and Goliath tale”

It’s at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool April 8-10.
