Molly and David back at Curve for The Sound of Music

Molly Lynch and David Seadon-Young will return to Leicester’s Curve when it stages Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music at Christmas 2025.

Lynch who will play Maria was Eliza Doolittle in Curve’s 2024 production of My Fair Lady while Seadon-Young took the role of Professor Henry Higgins. He will be Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music.

Curve’s chief executive Chris Stafford and artistic director Nikolai Foster said, “Molly and David created pure theatrical magic when they breathed new life into My Fair Lady at Curve last year. These were virtuosic performances filled with beauty, courage and originality that none of us who had the privilege of seeing will ever forget. It’s an honour to see these once-in-a-generation talents returning to Leicester where they promise to give everything to these magnificent characters and this important landmark of musical theatre.”

Foster will direct. George Dyer will be musical supervisor and orchestrations adapter. Choreography will be by Ebony Molina. Set and costume designer will be Michael Taylor, Mark Henderson will be lighting designer, sound designer will be Nick Lodge and props supervisor will be Ryan O’Connor. Ollie Khurshid will be associate director and Olivia Laydon will be casting director.

The Sound of Music will run at Curve from Saturday 22 November until Sunday 11 January 2026.
