Where Did All the Magpies Go? is a comedy written by Holly Readshaw about what the world would be like if Gateshead and Newcastle did not exist!
Late at night, Hazel returns home from her holiday in Spain. She sleeps on the sofa and wakes to learn that her housemates have no idea who she is. After trying to convince them that they’re friends and she does live here, Hazel soon realises, to her horror, that not only have they forgotten her, they’ve also forgotten the existence of Gateshead and Newcastle altogether.
It will be staged in the main house of South Shields Customs House as the finale of Takeover Festival June 2.
