Six monologues “detailing small moments of revelation in the lives of six very different women”, Half the Sky will be performed at Buxton Fringe for one night only.

The monologues draw together themes of faith, fate, belief, destiny and heartbreak. Writer Ian Salmon said, “we’re delighted to be able to bring Half The Sky to Buxton for this one-off performance with the United Reformed Church providing a beautiful and very appropriate backdrop to enhance the sheer quality of the six actresses’ quite excellent performances.”

The monologues are: This Is A Low, performed by Claryn Scott, Natalie Timmins with In Dreams Of Flying, Emma J Hind with The Girl Who Loved Musicals, Mairi-Claire Kennedy with Kind Hearted Woman Blues, Lisa Symonds with Small Blue Thing and Chloe Sweetman with Good God, You Said. They are accompanied by singer/songwriter Reid Anderson and cellist Stephanie E Kearney.

Half The Sky takes place in the United Reformed Church, Hardwick Square East, Buxton on Friday 17 July at 7:15PM.
