North West-based Monsta Productions announces its first professional production of Jason Robert Brown’s musical The Last Five Years.
It follows a five-year relationship between aspiring actress Cathy and young novelist Jamie and is inspired by Brown’s own failed marriage. In a city where professional and personal passions collide, only the strongest relationships survive.
Artistic director John Garfield-Roberts set up Monsta with the aim to give professional actors work in the region and is delighted the first show will open in his home city of Chester.
