Following a Sunday matinée performance of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Lowry in Salford, the show’s musical director Andrew Hilton and cast members, including Jason Manford, Claire Sweeney and Phill Jupitus, made their way front of house to lead a festive singalong in aid of the venue’s Christmas Appeal.

It’s an annual fundraising project, specifically designed to raise funds for a year-long programme of work with young people in Salford.

For 2016, it’s for those either in, or who have recently left, the care system. The purpose will be to develop young people’s creativity, talent and employability skills.
