Daniel Morden, one of the UK’s most popular storytellers, comes to Lancaster on February 7 when he brings Tree of Leaf and Flame: Tales from the Mabinogi to The Storey at 8PM.
And those just setting out on their literary journeys are celebrated at Lancaster Library which hosts the county heat of the national recitation competition for young people.
It’s all part of the city and surrounding district’s latest First Friday event, designed to showcase the abundant cultural offerings.
The Dukes venue welcomes pupils from Lancaster’s two grammar schools for their production of Sondheim’s musical Sweeney Todd.
