Ceri Dupree as Lucy Fur in Hot Stuff at Curve

Ceri Dupree returns to Curve this spring in a new production of “Leicester’s favourite musical” Hot Stuff.

Originally devised by Maggie Norris and Curve’s artistic director Paul Kerryson, Hot Stuff is a “high-energy rollercoaster ride through the disco decades” featuring ‘70s and ‘80s hits including "Dancing Queen", "I Will Survive", "Spirit in the Sky", "Blame it on the Boogie", "Stand By Your Man", "Addicted to Love", "Get It On", "Imagine" and the title number by Donna Summer.

The musical was first produced at Leicester’s Haymarket Theatre in 1992.

Joining Ceri Dupree are familiar Hot Stuff faces including Jason Denton, who reprises his role as Joe Soap, Ngo Ngofa who returns as Julie and Yildiz Hussein as Miss Hot Stuff.

Stephen Webb will play The Boss. Completing the cast are Michael Anthony, Matthew Wesley and Lisa Dent.

Hot Stuff is directed by Paul Kerryson, with arrangement and musical direction by Julian Kelly and choreography by David Needham.

It opens at Curve on Tuesday 23 April with previews from Saturday 20 April. It runs until Sunday 26 May.
