Twopence to Cross the Mersey in 2005

The brand new stage play version of Helen Forrester’s Twopence to Cross the Mersey due next year at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre will now run for an extra week, a total of three weeks.

The theatre box office has seen a positive initial response in the production since tickets went on sale on May 2 so an extra week to manage public demand means it now runs from March 10-28.

It tells the true story of a young girl and her formerly wealthy family as they are thrown into poverty during the Great Depression of the 1930s.
