Barry Humphries is to extend his Farewell Tour of the UK into 2014.
Eat Pray Laugh! will open at Milton Keynes Theatre on Wednesday October 23 and play Cardiff and Edinburgh, before transferring to London for a West End season over Christmas.
Dates have now also been announced in 2014 for Newcastle, Southampton, Norwich, Glasgow, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester.
It’s a chance to bid farewell to Humphries and his characters: the Honorable Sir Les Patterson, Sandy Stone and the iconic Dame Edna Everage.
Humphries has already taken his final bow to audiences throughout Australia and New Zealand where, due to extraordinary demand for tickets to see the performer, satirist, artist and comedian, additional performances needed to be added across the tour to satisfy the demand of more than quarter of a million adoring fans!
This new show is directed by award-winning Australian theatre director Simon Phillips, who directed the original Priscilla Queen of the Desert, with design by Tony Award-winning Brian Thomson, who designed the original Australian and London productions of Jesus Christ Superstar and The Rocky Horror Show, as well as the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games.
