Sian Weedon in Jordan

Stickleback Theatre Company will be taking to Buxton Fringe Jordan, “a one-woman play telling the powerful and moving true story of a young woman's journey from the soggy chip papers of Morecambe to the hard red brick of Holloway prison”.

Written by Anna Reynolds with Moira Buffini, this “modern-day Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale” tells of a mother driven to the ultimate act to avoid having her child taken away from her.

Stickleback Theatre Company has been touring the play, which features Sian Weedon, to medium-sized venues for more than a year. After Buxton it will be taken to Edinburgh.

Director Gordon Hamlin says, “This intense and deeply moving true story, regularly described as the best piece of theatre audience members have seen throughout the year, is not to be missed.”

Jordan will be performed in the Arts Centre (Studio) on Saturday (6 July) and Tuesday 9 July at 10:30PM and Thursday and Friday, 11 and 12 July at 7:30PM.
