National's Jekyll moves to Sunderland

The National Theatre's Jekyll & Hyde

Following its opening in Greater Manchester, the National Theatre's Jekyll & Hyde will visit 11 schools in Sunderland and the surrounding areas 15–19 January in partnership with Sunderland Empire and Sunderland Culture.

Evan Placey's reimagining of the Robert Louis Stevenson novel is directed by Kirsty Housley for a nine-week tour that will visit in the Sunderland area Sunderland College, Oxclose Community Academy, Monkwearmouth Academy, Castle View Enterprise Academy, Kepier School, Norham High School in North Shields, Jarrow School in South Tyneside, Bamburgh SEND School in South Shields, Gosforth Academy in Newcastle upon Tyne, Hebburn Comprehensive School and UTC South Durham.

The production will also be seen by students in schools across Leicester, Stoke, Peterborough, Wakefield, Doncaster, Wolverhampton, Hornchurch and North Devon until 16 March.
