NE Theatres: Coronavirus update

Sunderland Empire, along with all ATG venues, will remain closed until 20 September.

Arts Centre Washington expects to reopen “in a phased way over the coming months.”

Gosforth Civic Theatre promises that its café will reopen very soon with a new menu while the theatre undergoes some refurbishment.

The Exchange in North Shields will reopen its Café-Bar at the beginning of August but the theatre will remain closed in accordance with government guidelines.

ARC Stockton has issued the following statement about its plans:

"We are currently planning to reopen ARC's building in early September. Over the next couple of months we will be working to make sure we have a fantastic programme of events and activities for the autumn that comply with social distancing guidelines."

Update on 17 July

The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond expects to re-open for performances in spring 2021. In the interim development work in the auditorium continues.
