Neat! European arts festival begins in Nottingham

A city-wide festival which will feature work from Spain, Croatia, Poland, Canada, Germany and other countries will take place over ten days in a wide range of venues across Nottingham.

Nottingham European Arts Theatre Festival began in the city in 2011. neat14 will “delight and surprise in equal measure” with theatre, dance, art and more.

This year’s theme is Europe Then and Now and includes many artists who will be performing in the UK for the first time.

neat14 is a collaboration between artists, companies and venues including Nottingham Playhouse, Lakeside Arts Centre, Dance 4, Nottingham Contemporary, the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall, New Art Exchange and the Chase Neighbourhood Centre.

The festival runs from Friday (23 May) until Sunday 1 June. Many of the events will be free.
