East Midlands touring company New Perspectives has announced 14 new associates who will be supported through its year-long development programme.
The 2022 cohort is drawn from Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. The associates include Kate Spencer who for two years has been Coronation Street regular Grace Vickers and Bush Theatre’s literary assistant Amy Crighton.
The other artists are director Imogen Beech, Jack Burrows, actor Abigail Pidgeon, Lisa February, playwright Dan Scott, writer and actor John Booker, Joe Strickland, writer and director Emma-Louise Howell, Laurie Owen, scriptwriter and dramaturg Stacey Moon-Tracy, writer Tionee Joseph and writer and performance artist Bridie Squires.
The company’s aim is to offer early-career artists the specific support they need to take a crucial next step.
