Buxton Opera House

Buxton Opera House is looking for a new chief executive.

The Opera House board says it needs an “exceptional” individual who will lead with “passion and dedication”, building on the venue’s “unique role”.

A “proven ability to lead and manage together with strong financial literacy and the ability to develop an exciting theatre programme” are essential.

Clive Beattie, chairman of High Peak Theatre Trust which runs the Opera House, said, “This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and energetic chief executive to join the team and lead the organisation in its future development.

“We very much look forward to meeting candidates to hear their visions and share ours for the future.”

Prospective candidates are invited to have an informal conversation with the theatre’s interim chief executive, Stella McCabe.

Contact theatre secretary Pat Russell on 01298 72050 or at [email protected] for further details and an application pack. Alternatively they are available at the Buxton Opera House web site.

The closing date for applications is Friday 30 May at 5PM.
