A garage-based theatre company this week plans to showcase its new home with a fresh take on the Royal Variety Performance.

The North West Theatre Arts Company has come a long way since establishment back in 2009. Despite little money and no place to rehearse, the dedicated members have been meeting up and performing in a garage given to them by The Factory Youth Zone in Harpurhey, which they have transformed into a fully-functioning theatre.

NWTAC will now be moving across the road into the old swimming baths, which is being transformed into The Bath House Theatre thanks to a partnership between them, The Factory and Manchester College.

To celebrate their journey, they are launching the new theatre by performing a new take on the Royal Variety Performance. NWTAC has decided to hijack the formula and give it a twist in their own style.
