The Tree of War

A new musical, The Tree of War—set in Manchester, and in the trenches of World War One—receives its première in Burnage, Manchester from September 15-19.

Written by emerging composer Oliver Mills and author Rachel Mann—poet at Manchester Cathedral and priest-in-charge at St Nick’s Burnage—it is a tale of love, loss and hope that explores the lives of a group of South Manchester lads and lasses.

Originally a one-act show performed in 2014, the writers have reworked the show into a two-act West End style show.
