Sans Merci by Johnna Adams opens at Manchester’s Hope Mll Theatre in September.
It tells the story of Kelly, an idealistic young woman and a survivor of rape and attempted murder by South American revolutionaries. She is visited by Elizabeth, the conservative mother of another victim, Tracy, three years after the attack.
Slowly, the survivor and mother work through their grief at losing Tracy while negotiating the truth of what brought the two young women together.
It’s a production supported by Arts Council England and directed by Play With Fire Productions artistic director Daniel Bradford under the mentorship of Chris Honer.
