“Wild and musical celebration of nonsense”: Hey Diddle Diddle

Goblin Theatre is to visit Buxton Fringe with its show Hey Diddle Diddle, aimed at ages two to seven, as part of a UK tour of more than 40 venues.

Flying cows, jazzy cats, laughing dogs, runaway crockery, farting sandwiches and dancing sausages are included as Goblin presents a new take on the classic nursery rhyme.

With original music, “brilliant” puppetry and lots of laughter, the show is “a wild and musical celebration of nonsense”.

Director Matt Borgatti said, “we’re really excited about bringing Hey Diddle Diddle to Buxton so we can share our brand of nonsense and comedy with local family audiences. It’s going to be so much fun.”

Hey Diddle Diddle will be at Underground Venues, The Old Clubhouse, Buxton at various times from Saturday 20 until Tuesday 23 July.
