Otherworldly: Orange and Pip Theatre Company's new production After Alice

Orange and Pip Theatre Company explores at Buxton Fringe the fractious wonderland of teenage friendships in After Alice.

Lilly Posnett’s new production features Jade, Izzy and Mia who are going to the funeral of their friend Alice. The play involves “an uncanny investigation into the everyday theatrics of the adolescent girls of the selfie generation”.

“I wanted After Alice to feel quite otherworldly,” says Posnett. “The piece combines realistic action with physical theatre to draw audiences into that bizarre psychological world hidden beneath appearances.”

After Alice is the first production by new theatre group Orange and Pip. It features Annie Osborne who won the young drama award in 2013 for Red Red Shoes and Poppy Forshaw-Perring.

After Alice will be performed in the Fringe’s newest managed venue The Market Place (The Loft) on Friday and Saturday (18 and 19 July) at 6:45PM.
