Louise Glasscoe’s Present Apologies, a satire on committee meetings based on years of experience, gets an outing at the Buxton Fringe.

Louise Glasscoe was the co-author and producer of The Last Laugh which was staged at Buxton in 2010.

A number of actors from The Last Laugh will again perform including Sue Woolley as Mrs Antagonistic; Nick Whitehead as Mr Pedantic; and Joe Kelly, a film studies student at Salford University, who plays Ms PC.

Thirteen-year-old Al Grant, who recently appeared in the BBC drama The Village, will play Bright Young Thing and Corinne Coward, a professional actress and drama teacher, will be Ms Environmentally Friendly as well as co-directing the play.

Daniel Winter will play Mr Disruptive, Tim Warburton takes the role of Mr Apologetic, Nancy Brookes, a 17-year-old performing arts student and singer, will play Miss Lush and Louise Glasscoe will play the unfortunate, environmentally-unfriendly Miss Health Risk.

Present Apologies will be performed at the Beltane, Hall Bank, Buxton on Mondays, 8 and 15 July, and upstairs at the Old Club House on Tuesday 16 July, all at 7:30PM.
