Northern Stage is looking for actor/musicians for its major Christmas show, The Snow Queen, directed by Mark Calvert and adapted by Laura Lindow.
The ensemble company of seven versatile actors, who are based in or are from the North East, should be skilled and confident in musicianship (playing at least one instrument to a high level), singing, moving and puppetry.
Northern Stage is actively seeking to increase the diversity of actors it works with and is particularly eager to hear from local BAME actors.
Auditions will be held from Tuesday 23rd to Thurseday 25th July at the company's rehearsal space in Byker, Newcastle.
For the audition actors will be asked to prepare:
- a 2 minute self-accompanied song in a modern folk style;
- a 2 minute character driven speech.
Submissions should be sent by Spotlight or email to [email protected] only by Monday 15th July at the latest.
Those chosen to audition will be informed by Thursday 18th July.
