Northampton Royal and Derngate’s artist support programme Generate is to present its third Gen-Fest festival which will be a mixture of in-person and online sessions.

In-person performances will feature extracts of works in development including Officer Knobbs by Max Lawrence and Scott Bradley and This is a Carton of Orange Juice by Chris Lowe. There will also be a performance of Room Mates by Zach Devereux.

Online, there will be a Zoom question-and-answer session with Royal and Derngate artistic director James Dacre and the cast of his production of Joe Penhall’s Blue / Orange.

Royal and Derngate’s creative learning associate Erica Martin commented, “we’re very proud to have developed this festival with direct input from independent artists and are delighted to be able to showcase some of the work by those on our Generate associate artists programme. We look forward to continuing to support artists both online and with face-to-face opportunities.”

Gen-Fest will run from Tuesday 9 until Sunday 14 November.
