No awards have been made to North East cultural organisations in the second round of Culture Recovery Fund grants of over £1m.
Eight awards were made, totalling £17,760,865. Four were for Music, two for Combined Arts, and one each for Museums and Theatre. Three were made to organisations in Yorkshire and Humberside, three in London and one each in the North West and South East.
Opera North (Leeds) received £2m, Sheffield City Trust (Combined Arts) £2,243,000 and the North York Moors Historical Railway Trust (Museums) £1,904,902.
There are further awards to come in the shape of the Cultural Capital Kickstart and Repayable Finance programmes.
