Two events are to be made available online as part of the annual Classic Thriller Season at Nottingham's Theatre Royal which has been running since 1986.

With the theatre closed, Tabs Productions of South Wingfield, Derbyshire will perform a new adaptation of The Black Veil, John Goodrum's Victorian thriller based on a short story by Charles Dickens.

With minimal set and lighting, this one-hour play, rehearsed and staged following social distancing guidelines, will be filmed on the Theatre Royal stage and made available to view on the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall YouTube channel from 7PM on Wednesday 29 July.

On the previous Wednesday, 22 July, at 7PM, four actors from the Classic Thriller Season, Andrew Ryan, Sarah Wynne-Kordas, Jo Castleton and Karen Henson, will share their stories and memories as part of a live-streamed question-and-answer session from the Theatre Royal stage. People will have the chance to ask questions via social media using the hashtag #ThrillersQ&A.

Karen Henson from Tabs Productions said, "we can't wait to be back in the beautiful, socially distanced Theatre Royal and look forward to seeing everyone at more normal social distances in 2021."
