Northumberland Theatre Company (NTC) is inviting playwrights to submit plays addressing any or all of the words / themes Passion, Power, Politics and Pleasure.
Submitted plays must have a maximum of 6 actors (3m and 3f although more characters are possible with doubling) and two of the actors will be trainees, most likely under 25. They must last no longer than a half hour and be suitable to tour to intergenerational village hall audiences of 15+ as well as theatre audiences.
Applicants must submit a one-page synopsis of your idea for the half hour play, the first 20 pages of a script you have previously written and a writing CV.
The four successful applicants will have the opportunity to see their work professionally produced in March 2013, and will be paid £1,000.
