Southampton's Nuffield Theatre has appointed Caroline Routh as its new Executive Director from October.
Routh is currently Executive Producer at the Musical Theatre Network and was previously Executive Director of Northern Stage and Administrative Director of Battersea Arts Centre.
Nuffield will be the operating company for the North Building of Southampton's new £22 million arts venue, due to open late 2016, as well as continuing to operate its existing theatre at University of Southampton.
Nuffield Director Samuel Hodges said of the appointment, "It's a really exciting time for Nuffield right now and we are thrilled to welcome Caroline to the team.
"Her expertise will help us build and lead on our ambitious cultural regeneration plans for the city and expand our programme across the city, region and beyond."
