After a sell-out run at last year’s Edinburgh Festival, Maurice’s Jubilee starts a national tour at the Opera House in Manchester from Thursday to Saturday.
The play is Olivier Award-winning Nichola McAuliffe’s most recent work and here she reprises her role as Katie, alongside Olivier Award-winning Julian Glover (Maurice) and Sheila Reid.
Shred and Lass O'Gowrie Productions present an all-new stage adaptation of Bruce Robinson’s cult 1987 movie Withnail and I this week.
Directed by Trevor MacFarlane and adapted by Ian Winterton, (the duo behind Sherica, winner of the 2011 Manchester Theatre Award) it stars Adam Grayson (Withnail), Philip Barwood (I), Benjamin Patterson (Danny) and David Slack (Uncle Monty) with Steve Cain, Eryl Lloyd Parry, Richard Sails and Annie Wallace as various farmers, poachers, pensioners, cops and drunks in performances at the Lass O'Gowrie.
