Lucas Button who will play Hamlet at The Dukes
The Full Monty at The Lowry

A Lancaster teenager sets foot on the stage of the city’s Dukes Theatre in a role tackled by no less than Olivier, Branagh, Tennant and Law.

Lucas Button, aged just 17, takes on one of Shakespeare’s most famous roles, Hamlet, from Tuesday to Saturday, playing the part in the intimacy of the venue’s Round stage.

Mess, the winner for Best Ensemble at last year’s Stage Awards, is a funny, moving new play with songs based on Caroline Horton’s experiences of anorexia nervosa.

It’s recommended for ages 13 and over and will be at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton on Monday.

Familiar faces, and much more, are on view when The Full Monty takes to the stage of Salford’s Lowry arts venue.

Manchester-born ex Corrie actor Craig Gazey and Bolton’s own Roger Morlidge, are amongst the cast.
