Lytham Hall’s outdoor theatre season, on the Fylde coast, opens on Friday.

Chapterhouse Theatre Company premières its countrywide tour of Pride and Prejudice, 55 performances which will take them to venues throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland over four summer months.

The Dukes in Lancaster, along with Age UK, aims to hit the high notes with its latest event aimed at making the arts more accessible to older people.

Singing Out is a fun event for older people at the Lancaster venue from 1-3.15pm on Wednesday.

Gilbert and Sullivan's best loved operetta The Pirates of Penzance comes to Manchester Opera House from Tuesday to Saturday when the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company return to the stage after a 10 year absence with an historic collaboration with Scottish Opera.

The third and final site-specific production from the Library Theatre Company in Manchester, Manchester Sound: The Massacre will literally turn up at a secret city centre venue.

Manchester Sound: The Massacre is a clash of two key events in the history of the city: the Peterloo Massacre of 1819, and the explosion of acid house and rave culture in 1989.

Forming part of the Royal Northern College of Music’s 40th anniversary celebrations, their president and world-renowned opera singer, Sir Willard White, will perform An Enchanting Evening of Song at The Bridgewater Hall on Wednesday.

A Wondrous Place—featuring four brand new short stories celebrating Northern cities—comes to the The Studio at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre from Tuesday to June 22.

This month sees the opening of a second duo of plays at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick—J B Priestley’s classic thriller An Inspector Calls takes the stage while next week the theatre makes its first foray into Jacobean tragedy with ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore by John Ford opening in the Studio.
