A brand new play Houdini is coming to the Grand Theatre in Blackpool next week starring BAFTA-winning actor Stuart Brennan and Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch.

It’s about the life of two of the greatest performers the world has ever known—the Houdini Brothers: stuntmen, illusionists and magicians.

Preston Tringe Festival starts this weekend, leading the way as one of four festivals running concurrently across the city throughout September and October.

The annual Tringe, celebrating fringe theatre, music, comedy and more got underway on Saturday, and this year runs for a fortnight.

There’s a monster on the moors, a crime to be cracked, and a new Sherlock on the block when Ha Ha Holmes, starring Joe Pasquale, turns up around the region from next week.

The show is at Manchester Opera House and Southport Theatre next week, before an appearance at Preston Charter Theatre on October 24.

Britain’s biggest burlesque extravaganza comes to Manchester next week, direct from London’s West End and unveiling a fresh cast of burlesque all-stars for 2013.

Next week, Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre will once again throw open its doors to the public for a now annual Open Day in honour of the late Brian Epstein’s birthday. The 2013 Open Day, which is extra special this year as the theatre celebrates its centenary year, will take place on Thursday.

The Moon has got a story to tell about a tippetty-top tap dancer who he has been watching at night and you can hear it at Sale’s Waterside Arts Centre on Saturday.
