AidaFor their own contribution to this year's Preston Guild celebrations the city's own opera company promise their own spectacular with a fully-staged production of Aida at the Charter Theatre. The best known of all of Verdi's operas is no small undertaking—even for the resources of a professional company.

A time travelling rock and roll musical is the annual production presented by Shattering Images Theatre Company.

They are based at DT3, The Dukes youth specific space in Lancaster, and work with young adults with learning disabilities to produce imaginative and challenging pieces of theatre.

The show takes place in The Round at The Dukes at 1pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday and at 7.30pm on Friday.

Members of the Brewery's Youth Arts Programme in Kendal will be leading an all singing, all dancing journey through the history of the iconic venue.

It Happened at the Brewery is a two-night show featuring music, dance, theatrical and visual arts performances highlighting some of the most inspiring moments over the last 40 years.

IHATB will be appearing Friday and Saturday.

A cocktail of 1950s bombshell and classic rock chick, she's already a veteran of the burlesque circuit though aged only 26.
