Return to the Forbidden Planet at Queen's Theatre Hornchurch in 2012
The Ancient Secret of Youth and the Five Tibetans

Return to the Forbidden Planet brings its 25th anniversary tour to the region over the next fortnight. Next week the Olivier Award-winning rock musical is at the Grand in Blackpool before landing at Manchester’s Palace Theatre the following week.

Manchester’s new centre for international contemporary art, theatre and film, HOME, may only be weeks from opening but there’s something of a house warming next week. Internationally-acclaimed choreographer Hofesh Shechter & Friends perform at the nearby venue of 2 Tony Wilson Place, First Street, Manchester from next Thursday to Saturday.

Continuing its longstanding relationship with award-winning playwright Jim Cartwright, the Octagon in Bolton presents the world première of The Ancient Secret of Youth and the Five Tibetans, starring Denise Welch, Tom Mannion, Eric Potts, Lauren Drummond and Matt Tait.

The clue is in the title when West End performer Claire Sweeney brings her Sex in Suburbia show to Preston Charter Theatre next Wednesday night.

A brand-new wartime cavalcade show comes to Preston Charter Theatre on Monday afternoon to commemorate 70 years since the end of World War Two.
